I called the dealership and as always they try to suck you dry of any and all money that you have. Well I know as good as anyone that you don't always have to go to the dealership so I searched the web and found a few places, but the one that stuck out was Express Brakes. They are a brake company that will come to you. They came to my house and changed my front brake pads for $99, now keep in mind that I was going to change them myself and my pads alone were $99. Just had my brakes done in my drive way while I worked on my computer. Expected to have to have rotors turned etc. Was told they were fine and did not need turning. Bet that would not have happened if I had taken it to a shop! Give these guys a call if you need brakes. I think you will be pleased, I was!!

Hey, all my friends in the CSRA! I want to spread some really positive 'Word of Mouth" praise for Express Brakes. Today my brakes went out. Like 'pedal to the floor with no resistance, and doesn't really stop' type out. I googled 'Brakes Augusta' and the link for Express Brakes of Augusta came up. I had a strong feeling that these were the folks I needed. I called them, and they told me that they would be at my house within an hour. 45 minutes later they were here, working on my car. I told them to fix anything that needed fixing, and they inspected everything. They said my brake pads and rotors were fine, and didn't need any work, but I had a broken wheel cylinder. They ran to the auto shop, got the part, and fixed the problem...good as new. The part was 20.00, and they only charged me 40.00 for the house call AND labor. 60.00 total. I can promise you, if I had gone anywhere else, I would have been told I needed at least 500.00 more work done. They were courteous, efficient, friendly...and most of all HONEST!!! Today's experience with Express Brakes left me in a great mood for the rest of the day. Here's why... -On Tuesday I had my tires rotated/balanced at a National chain of Tires (and they sell Batteries). I knew my brakes were wearing down (could hear grinding), asked for a quote. It was $895. I was shocked. Started looking for other places. - I called Express Brakes on Tuesday and the owner answered phone. He gave me an 'estimate' quote based on what I was telling him I needed from the other guys. He asked me to go to the Express Brakes website, fill out the form, and he would give me a more accurate quote later because he was on his way to a job. - I received a text that night with the estimate. It was $400+ less than other quote. I asked him, via text, if he was free on Friday. He asked what time. I told him after 0900, and he said 'How about between 10-1030?". I replied "Perfect. See you then!" -Today at 1000 sharp he pulled into my driveway. Timing was almost creepy. He came and introduced himself, very professional. I offered to let him do the job in the garage but he preferred outside. No problem. Backed the car out. -After about 15minutes into the job he knocks on the door. He wants to show me something. At the other tire store I was told I would need new rotors. He showed me the rotors, explained his opinion that he does not believe they need to be replaced as the other store recommended, but if I did desire he would be happy to install new rotors. I thanked him for his honesty because I was ready to pay the full price quoted, but now I'm going to save some money! -Less than 30 minutes later, he knocks and tells me he is done! I was almost sad / bitter because in the past I have done 3-4 brake jobs that take 3-4+ hours each time. That feeling is transient as I learn my new bill is significantly less than I expected to be paying today because I didn't need rotors. I paid my bill, went to my car. They did not leave a mess, my driveway was free of any trash, and I couldn't tell they had even been there. Overall, I paid $670 less than I was quoted on Tuesday. 'Saving' that much money made me very happy, and the rest of the day continued to be great. Driving the car around feels great, no grinding, no shaking, restored stopping power. There was not a single negative aspect to this experience. I give it 5 stars for: Reliability, Value, Professionalism, Quality, Honesty. ---- Will Young

Excellent service! Right on time and very professional. No mess, they let me use my own parts and did the full rotor and pad replacement on one axle in 1 hour. Even told me I did not need a brake job and that it was just a rock that was squeaking my brakes. I opted to have express brakes replace them anyway. What chain would do that ? I would definitely refer them to any friend. Brake chains beware! These guys are good!

Want to recommend Express Brakes to everyone in the CSRA. I'm a stay at home mom and it is very difficult to have work done on my van well I have a little one at home. The gentlemen arrived promptly and were done in about an hour. We had gotten a few quotes from local businesses that said I needed new brake pads and new rotors on all four wheels. They showed me my rotors so I could see that they were just fine and only needed new brake pads. Even told me that my rear brake pads had about four months left. I paid $300 to $400 less using Express Brakes. Wonderful service, wonderful gentleman and I highly recommend them!

Needed brakes so I called was a little skeptical but saw their ad by google and clicked onto their website and thought great reviews so I will give them a try. Well set up a time and day and they were a couple minutes early and not only did they do my brakes in a very fast time but actually told me that I did not need rotors which I was quoted a price from a local establishment. I found these guys by chance, so glad I did. My wife drives a German import, I called the dealer , was quoted an ,in my opinion, outrageous price for rear brake pads only. I decided to look at some aftermarket places and found Express Brakes. I called and Rodney gave me a great quote. My wife is a nurse at a doctor's office, so she doesn't really have a set schedule. Rodney said to just let him know when she should be home on Friday and he'd make it work. I let him know Friday morning,Ricky was there half an hour early Friday evening. The car has electronic parking brakes so you need a computer program to get them to release, they have it. It took them about half an hour. I took the car up the street and back, it stopped on a dime. I'm completely happy with the service, they're my goto from now on. I'll tell everyone I know to go to them. These guys are terrific. I have used them twice now and have been very pleased with their work. Their prices can't be beaten, I was quoted upward of $700 for new brakes on my truck but Ricky and Rodney did the whole truck, all four for less than $300. After that, of course I called them for my wife's car and they showed up, quoted me a price and did the work in the span of about three hours. You won't find better service anywhere. Keep it up boys.
